Ireland's beauty and scenery make it one of the most popular destinations in Europe. However, it is truly the charm and warmth of the Irish people that make the country such a pleasure to visit. On our hiking trip you will strike up numerous conversations with locals and drawn into pubs with inviting couches and excellent music.
We take a variety of hikes on this Adventure including the Dingle coastline, Killarney National Forest, and an old abandoned cart path called the Kenmare Road. On most days we have a morning hike where the group is all on the same path, while in the afternoons we have an additional, more strenuous option for those needing a little more exercise. You are always free to hike at your own pace and choose your own distance.
Ireland is truly a special destination and your own two feet provide the absolute best way to see the country!

The guesthouse is located just off Dingle Bay and offers fine views of the water. We spend our next three nights in the fantastic Killarney Park Hotel, a five-star hotel in the heart of Killarney. With impeccable service, a fantastic restaurant, and spa facilities onsite, this family-run hotel is one of the best of Ireland.
Suggested Readings & Films
Angela's Ashes, by Frank McCourt, was a recent bestseller that described the author's childhood in impoverished Ireland. Trinity, by Leon Uris, is a lengthy but captivating novel about the three-way struggle between the British, Irish Catholics, and Irish Protestants. The movie Michael Collins addresses the same issue, with a fairly accurate account about the man who led Ireland's violent quest for independence during 1919 to 1921. Finally, Ryan's Daughter is a 1970 movie set during the First World War and filmed on the Dingle Peninsula.
